The pre-successive alphabetical order
With the pre-successive order, the Orga-Folders stand one before the other, not consecutively.
So, 'Classei' comes before 'Baumann and 'Baumann' before 'Allenberg', for example. The Tabs are generally written on
as left as possible. Then, the Tab is put on the basis of the initial letter over
the affiliated letter field of the indexing scale. Take care that the Quick-Tab is glued on
to the rear side of the folder. Otherwise it goes down when the folder is filled more strongly.
Advantages of the pre-successive order method
With this method you can open Orga-Folders systematically. What does that mean?If you open a records folder for a new procedure or transaction, you must know where to put the index tab on the indexing scale of the records folder. In the case of a consecutive order you must look at the existing files to know what is the next one. But this is not always possible. In addition, although you have a nice consecutive order, you have no system where to find a folder.
Immediate order, a blessing for your office work
Immediate order necessitates 'tabbing' the folders in a systematic way. That
means, immediately after you open a new folder, you position the tab according
to the initial letter of the name. This is simple, but implies a problem. If you
file them in the normal order: A in front and B behind, you won't be able to
read the tab beginning with B. That is especially true for thin folders which
contain only few documents; and every file begins with one, two or three
documents. So immediate order requires systematic tabbing, a pre-successive
order and thin folders.
